The Lash And Beauty Academy offers three ways to train. These are:
- Basic online training
- Online training with live online practical and assessment session
- Classroom based training
How you choose to train will depend on three factors. Price, location and insurance requirements.
Price and location are straightforward. You select the course that is affordable to you, and is either close by for travel or an online option.
The real question that most students need the answer to is…
“Can I get insurance with this qualification?”
The answer depends on two factors:
- How you earned your qualification
- Who it is accredited with
let’s look at the three training methods we offer to see which is right for you.
Basic Online Training
My basic online training courses are accredited with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. All basic courses require you to complete the in-depth theory, pass the questionnaires and to submit case studies that are reviewed by a qualified and experienced trainer. Course support is via email, and a download of your certificate can be purchased for an additional £12 once you pass the course.
There are a number of insurance companies that will accept this type of qualification, including
- Radius Beauty Therapy Insurance*
- Policy Bee*
- Westminster Holistic Insurance*
But be aware that many insurance companies will require a live online session with a qualified trainer to have been carried out before they will insure you. Without this, your insurance options are more limited. If you already have insurance in place you must contact your insurance provider before taking any course to ensure that they will cover your new qualification.
*All insurance quotes and queries should be directed to the insurance provider concerned. The Lash and Beauty Academy are not responsible for any insurance providers or quotes, these contacts have been provided as a service only.
Online training with live online practical and assessment session
My online courses with a live online session are accredited with ABT. This type of course is carried out the same way as the basic course, but with a live practical and assessment session included.
Having the live online session with a qualified trainer makes the qualification more desirable and will give you many more options when it comes to insurance. The online session is also very informative and will help to improve your skills, helping you to gain confidence more quickly.
My ABT online course includes a PDF download of your certificate, so there is no additional certificate fee to pay.
If you already have insurance in place you must contact your insurance provider before taking any course to ensure that they will cover your new qualification.
Classroom based training
My classroom based training is accredited with ABT. All coursework is carried out online before you come into the classroom. The practical session is carried out at our academy location in Altrincham, South Manchester.
Classroom based training was the most desirable way to train with students up until recently. Many insurance companies would only insure a qualification if it was earned in a classroom setting. However, this has now changed and many insurance companies will accept online training qualifications when they didn’t before.
Classroom based training is still very desirable by insurance companies, and hands on training with a qualified trainer will always be an excellent way to train.
As always, if you already have insurance in place you must contact your insurance provider before taking any course to ensure that they will cover your new qualification.
